March's Mini-Contest is a little more interesting than February's! Unfortunately, I didn't receive any submissions for February's Mini-Contest, so we'll just move onto the next month - March! 1. Ideally, you will submit an entirely new design made intentionally for this contest, but I can accept a design that had previously existed as long as it is unique enough to warrant it. 2. Please be sure to tag your submission with #projectluvmarch for the March Mini-Contest! 3. If you are caught stealing your design, then you will be disqualified from submitting! The severity of the "sentence" depends on how egregrious the offense is.

The main design "criteria" is steampunk / dieselpunk. Both are acceptable for this contest, so feel free to provide designs for either! The main weapon categories to work with are between a sniper rifle, machine gun, rail gun, or sidearm! Hopefully this yields some interesting designs for you guys! Again, wish the best of luck to you all!

In the aftermath of the Boundless War, Westynne had been reduced to nothing more than craters and rubble. This had left the very few survivors distraught and left to fully rebuild their once prosperous city. The Eight, in their conquest to destroy the other realities, had succeeded in the fight that mattered the most; the war in the reality that had real threats against them. This left them to truly wreak havoc across realities, which the High Gods did not appreciate. In an effort to give the realities a fighting chance, the High Gods decided against their preious judgments and created equivalents for the Eight across every reality. They were smart to not give them all the same level of power and corruption, but rather a sense of morals that could lead them to winning against the original Eight. Why not just remove the Eight from existence, you may be inquiring? Well, as with any obvious threat to humanity and the survival of reality itself, the Eight are outside of the rules of the High Gods. Disatan himself couldn't even lay a finger on them, had he wanted to. But anyways, let's not veer off track.

The Eight consist of the most powerful beings across every reality, having come all together after a message was sent from the Originator of the Eight - Jackard Reed. Reed, being a genius intellectually, knew he couldn't do absolutely everything himself and thus sent a message that he knew only the right people would answer. Hence, his name as the Originator.

The first to have responded was another version of himself from a completely different reality - one where the apocalypse had become the new norm for society - and had only taken him a mere moment in time, likely due to him working towards the same goal. This version of him also predates the "canon personality split" that had been inflicted upon the Originator, so he still maintains his vast knowledge base alongside his physical strengths. This version of Jackard - Jackard Myles - is known as the First Responder, becoming the Originator's right hand man in the whole operation.

The second to have responded took significantly longer than the First Responder, having taken approximately a century (give or take a week, month, etc.). Of course, it only makes sense when taking into consideration who it was - the Traveller. This was a robotic being, having the form of a television as its headpiece. Known to his time as Telly, the Traveller had to come to present day from the far future - a future where humanity had given up on the Earth and instead boarded an artifical satellite. In this reality, Reed had also created the Blueprint for the Traveller way back in that reality's history - but lined up perfectly to the moment that the Originator sent the message. The Traveller had become indentured to the Originator and the First Responder, thanks to its system recognizing them as its creator, and has become the third in command in this band of brothers.

The third to have responded took not much longer after the Traveller's arrival, though this time in an unrelated manner to the others' connection (Myles). He came, instead, from the deep past from the Earth's medieval period. He was a skeletal figure, though it seemed more so to be a golem-like creature in respect to his "head" being an ancient rune magick crystal. The markings and weaponry sported by this warrior indicated he came from the 2nd century, during the Great Cyrussian Empire. With him having proven his worth in hand to hand combat with the Originator, First Responder, and the Traveller, he earned his keep and was given the appropriate name - the Warrior.

The fourth to have responded, unfortunately, had taken much longer than even the gap between the First Responder and the Traveller - about two centuries. The Originator had figured it would take a while for any responses, so he wasn't surprised about the wait. This left him to be surprised when the being that arrived before him was someone he had interacted with before - Xexon. This version of him, however, wasn't the same. This version of Xexon was wartorn - as if he himself committed the genocide against his people. He laid unphased by almost anyone's fury within their hand to hand combat trials. In fact, Xexon could've almost singlehandedly destroyed the four had he not known the goal at hand. This gave him the title that, while not nearly as welcoming, certainly made everyone understand who they were speaking to - the Outsider.

The fifth to have responded, thankfully, only had taken a decade afterwards to respond and arrive to the message. He, unfortunately would've arrived sooner had he not a debt to owe to his reality's Disatan. This being was of the Kerotinge, a race of people born in Hell from unusable souls that are the slaves to Hell's society save for a few worthy warriors. This being, known as Arthur Mirfiri, was one of those worthy warriors and was considered the top dog in Disatan's personal militia. This left the rest of the five wondering what Disatan required of him before he could respond, to which the kerotinge responded with one word - death. After having gone through the combat trials as the previous responders had before, the kerotinge had received a grim title - the Reaper. The sixth to have responded had arrived literally the moment that Arthur had received his title, having been trying to find a way to respond to the message since it first was sent over three centuries ago. His name was Jonathan Milles, and he was a bog-standard human who treated the message as a word from God. Jonathan, however, wasn't considered worthy of joining the first ten times they had attempted to join. He didn't have nearly enough power, intellect, or anything unique to make his presence worthwhile. At least, not until he learned and mastered the ancient pyrokinesis magick. In an effort to further prove his faith to the cause, Jonathan had his limbs severed and he self-cauterized the wounds in order to fully allow himself to become one with his power. The dedication to his magick had proven to the six that he was capable of greater things, and thus he earned his title - the Unbreakable. The seventh and final correspondent was a rather lenghthy wait, having taken five centuries to even respond let alone arrive. This final correspondent was Fyaro, known by his family name of Drakardi. His reasoning behind his wait was understandable, however, as he had to continuously reincarnate his soul alongside his father's in order to fully decipher the message left by the Originator. This left them to practically rot for over five hundred years before being blessed with Disatan's eyes, allowing them to understand the message. As a result, Drakardi isn't just one person in the body, but rather two. The Originator, already understanding the capabilities of two souls in one body, didn't even have him endure the combat trials and instantly gave him the title that was originally for the First Responder - the Gemini. These are the Eight that the High Gods wished to prevent from destroying reality itself. These are the Eight that the High Gods made equivalents to in an effort to end the Boundless War. Make no mistake, these bastards will not be friendly no matter who you are.

February's mini-contest is gonna start the year out with some simple criteria and rules! I figure start it out easy so that the submissions can be as flexible as possible!

  1. Ideally, you will submit an entirely new design intentionally made for this contest! I won't personally accept any designs that have existed before February 1st, 2024, unless it is a variant of a previous design with enough changes to warrant being considered as new.

  2. Please be sure to tag your submission with the proper tag! The tag I will be using for the February contest is #projectluvfebruary. Each of the consecutive months will follow a similar tagging scheme.

  3. If you are caught either stealing your design or taking direct inspiration from another design within the contest, then you will be disqualified for at least the next three mini-contests, if not the rest of them. This depends on the severity of inspiration/theft, of course.

The criteria for this mini-contest requires that the submission be a modern-day design, nothing too futuristic or impossible to achieve with current-day technology. It can also be any weapon category (meaning assault rifle, shotgun, sniper rifle, etc.), so go crazy with whatever your heart desires! Hopefully, this criteria is broad enough for y'all, just be prepared for more specific criteria as the year goes on! I hope to see some interesting designs from the community! Best of luck to you all! This Mini-Contest now is closed! Unfortunately, there have been no submissions for this particular contest, so we'll move on to the next Month's rules!

The time has finally come! We have recently achieved 2,500 watchers and I am very thankful for this amount of support over the years! I genuinely appreciate those who have stuck around and shown interest in my works! This new contest has been waiting to happen for nearly two years, and I'm happy to say I can finally announce it!

This, like the previous two contests, allows different community members to provide designs for use within the wide variety of Project: L.U.V. games! Since the last contest, there is a lot of different games you can provide designs for and honestly, there will be crossover between some of the games so there's a chance your design can be featured in multiple entries! Of course, there's the main entries VrenZie, UltraDyne, Terra Luna, and ProvoCation. VrenZie is a Zombies-style shooter, UltraDyne is a multiplayer shooter, Terra Luna is a battle royale, and ProvoCation is an extraction shooter! There are also multiple other games, but those will be revealed as each month goes on, as this contest will actually have a major twist in comparison to the previous two (mostly due to my computer situation still being less than ideal).

For each month of the next year (starting February 2024 and ending January 2025), I will be holding a mini-contest each month and seeing what three designs win in each month! This does mean the entire weapons roster will expand by at least 36 weapons! Each month will have different criteria for what I'm looking for, which will include the weapon category and what game it will ideally be made for. These won't be strict criteria, however, as there will be multiple options available that you can mix and match for most of the months! I will post separate journals for each month for ease of organization and they will mostly be laid out the same way with a few exceptions, just due to other games in the Project not using the same traditional weaponry.

I look forward to the variety of designs that will be submitted throughout the year! Officially, the first contest begins February 1st, 2024, but feel free to begin designing your weapons now! Just be sure to submit it during the correct parameters! I will post the February contest journal shortly after this!

Hello, everyone! Sorry about the overall inactivity on here! I figured since I have time, I'd let you guys know what's been going on in my life and what happened to the relatively frequent uploads.

So, I began work on a new phase of development with my game projects (collectively known as Project: LUV) around late July, early August. Unless you are in my Discord, you haven't seen anything since then. Of course, if you've been in the Discord, you would know that I was still actively making artwork until late October. I had begun having computer troubles in between the two periods of time, having to switch from my laptop (which had nearly everything for the previous version of the project) to a desktop. The desktop also had issues, failing to boot and, after working for about a week or so after repairs, failing to boot again. This is obviously a huge damper in the overall progress of art creation, causing a huge standstill.

Luckily, I've been productive in the meantime and have finally made a finalized list of weapons to include in these projects! It's a rather large list, but I'm ready to finally get these all designed. With this, I plan to update the overall display style I have for these artworks. I'll finally include both sides of the weapon as a standard and include a few more details within the image itself. The descriptions with also have a few tweaks with them, but I'm not sure if anyone particularly cares about the lore like I do.

I'm sure you all are wondering how I'm even typing this out right now, though... right? Well, I'm using a family member's laptop to type this up, and hopefully to make some of the art within the near future. The only downside to this is the limited time that I could use this for, as said family member works a lot of the time and needs to use this for work purposes. I'll only be able to work on art and such once a week, until I can get myself a computer of some sorts to work with. At least there will be somewhat of a flow of content, though!

I'm excited to start work on these again, I've been having an itch to really get these started! Hopefully you all are just as excited as I am! Thank you for reading this all! And yes, I'm also doing an overall rebrand for my online presence.
